Welcome to Morris Chiropractic Clinic

At Morris Chiropractic Clinic, we like to offer a casual, comfortable atmosphere for your care. From the moment you enter our chiropractic care center, you’ll be greeted by our staff and warmly welcomed.

Your First Visit

Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to download and complete our new patient paperwork at home. If not, that’s okay! Have a seat, and we’ll be happy to help you with it.

Once you’ve filled out our basic information forms, you’ll be escorted back to our Consultation room, a warm, private space where you can relax and discuss your health history and current condition with Dr. Monroe. He’ll listen closely to what you have to share, and he’ll let you know whether your condition is one that is well-suited for chiropractic care.

Next, you will be escorted to the Exam room, where you’ll have a very thorough examination, including orthopedic and neurological diagnostic tests. A Chiropractic Assistant will check your height, weight and blood pressure, and you’ll have a surface electromyography, or EMG. If needed, we can take Spinal X-rays right here in our office, saving you the hassle of a referral.

As long as your consultation and examination indicate that chiropractic is a good fit for you, you’ll receive a therapy modality or even your first adjustment at this first appointment.

In all, you should budget approximately one hour for your visit.

Your Second Visit

You’ll return to our office the next day for Dr. Monroe to review with you the results of your examination, tests and X-rays. This report of findings gives Dr. Monroe the opportunity to discuss with you your condition and his recommendations for your care. He’ll explain what’s wrong and his suggested plan of action. He’ll tell you what you’ll be doing to treat the problem, how long it will take and how much it’s likely to cost.

Before you leave, you’ll schedule your first two to four weeks of appointments, giving you the opportunity to block off the time you need, well in advance of your visits.

Please budget approximately 30 minutes for this visit.

Ongoing Care

We ask that you plan to stay 30 minutes for your routine office visits, though they often are much shorter.

You’ll start with intersegmental traction or light exercise to get your body warmed up and ready for your adjustment. After your adjustment, you may receive a therapy such as acupuncture or electrical muscle stimulation to help support your healing. Before you leave, you’ll be given homecare instructions so you can further your healing at home.

Patient for Life?

During your report of findings, we’ll discuss whether your condition is new, old or permanent. If something is permanent, like degeneration of the spine, we’ll work together to make you as comfortable as possible.

Many patients have asked whether they will need to continue chiropractic care for the rest of their lives. I like to tell them they only need to come as long as they want to stay healthy! All kidding aside, we ask these patients whether they would feel comfortable taking medications for the rest of their lives. Why go the route of taking a pill every day when you can find relief the natural way? Just like seeing a dentist every six months to prevent teeth problems, chiropractic care can help prevent spinal problems as a preventative basis.

We’re happy to answer any questions you might have about chiropractic. Contact our office today to schedule your free consultation and find out whether you are a good candidate for chiropractic care.
